What are the main performance indicators of curtain walls that Shibo will tell you
2025-05-23
1. Basic three performance

① Rainwater permeability (water tightness):

Rainwater infiltration performance refers to the ability of a curtain wall to pass through rainwater under the combined action of wind and rain; The design value of rainwater infiltration performance is determined by dividing the standard wind pressure acting on the surface of the curtain wall by 2.25 as the design value for the fixed part of the curtain wall, with the openable part corresponding to the fixed part.

Grading value of rainwater infiltration performance (KN/m ²)

Main performance indicators of curtain wall
According to the rainwater infiltration performance of the curtain wall, it should not be lower than level three.

② Air permeability performance:

The air permeability performance refers to the ability of a curtain wall with its open part in a closed state to pass through air under wind pressure. The air permeability under a pressure difference of 10Pa is used as the grading value.

Classification value of air permeability performance (KN/m ²)

Main performance indicators of curtain wall
In stone curtain walls and glass curtain walls, sealant and adhesive strips form a double ring seal with good air tightness;

According to the principle of equivalent permeability to rainwater, it is determined to be Class III.

③ Wind pressure deformation performance:

Wind pressure deformation performance refers to the ability of building curtain walls to maintain normal performance without any damage under the action of wind pressure perpendicular to them;

Classification value of building curtain wall performance (KN/m ²)

Main performance indicators of curtain wall
Under the standard value of wind load, the relative deflection of steel profiles in the main load-bearing components of the curtain wall shall not exceed L/300, and the absolute deflection shall not exceed 15mm; the relative deflection of aluminum profiles shall not exceed L/180, and the absolute deflection shall not exceed 20mm, and both shall meet the requirements.

The maximum wind pressure standard value for this project is 3KN/m ², and the maximum design value is 4.2KN/m ². According to the requirements, the wind pressure deformation performance is determined to be level II;

2. Other performance:

① Impact resistance performance

The impact resistance performance refers to the ability of the curtain wall to withstand hail, strong winds, flying objects, birds, and other obstacles during installation;

Classification of Impact Resistance Performance and Sports Value

Main performance indicators of curtain wall
Compliant with national standards and meeting the requirements of this project, the curtain wall of this project has a strong impact resistance performance of Grade III based on the amount of movement that tempered glass can withstand.

② Deformation performance within the plane:

The in-plane deformation performance of curtain walls refers to the performance that should be maintained when the curtain wall components undergo horizontal forced deformation when there is relative displacement between the floors of a building under the action of earthquakes and strong winds. The relative displacement beam used as a grading basis is expressed as the ratio of the displacement that does not cause damage to the component to the height of the curtain wall (angular displacement value).

Main performance indicators of curtain wall
The in-plane deformation performance is determined as Grade III based on the interlayer elastic angle displacement value of the shear wall structure, which is 3/650.

③ Fire Performance Description

Add fire-resistant coating treatment to the surface of steel structures in engineering design. To ensure quality, it is proposed to use domestically produced high-quality fire-resistant coatings.

④ Thermal insulation performance

The insulation performance refers to the ability of the curtain wall impedance to transfer heat from the high temperature side to the low temperature side under the condition of an air temperature difference on both sides of the curtain wall (excluding heat transfer from air infiltration through gaps). The insulation performance of the curtain wall is expressed by the heat transfer coefficient K.

The physical meaning of the heat transfer coefficient K is: under stable heat transfer conditions, the temperature difference between the air inside and outside the curtain wall is 1K, and the amount of heat transferred per unit area per unit time is measured in W/m ² · k.

Main performance indicators of curtain wall
In the curtain wall design of this project, materials are selected according to functional requirements, and the curtain wall is sealed with sealant and rubber strips in a double ring shape, so the insulation performance of the curtain wall is good. According to the heat transfer coefficient of insulated glass being 1.80, its insulation performance is determined to be Class III.

⑤ Sound insulation performance

Sound insulation performance refers to the amount of noise transmitted from the air to the outer surface of the curtain wall, which is reflected by the curtain wall and absorbed by other curtain walls. Sound insulation performance refers to the amount of noise transmitted from the air to the exterior of the building curtain wall, which is reduced after reflection, washing, and other energy conversion by the curtain wall.

The classification of curtain wall sound insulation performance should be expressed as the average sound transmission loss, and the classification values are shown in the following table:

Main performance indicators of curtain wall
In the curtain wall design of this project, materials were selected according to functional requirements, and glass and stone curtain walls were used. In addition, the curtain wall was sealed with double ring seals of sealant and rubber strips, and glass, stone and other decorations were added on the original building foundation, thus meeting the singing requirements of this project. According to the effective sound insulation capacity of the glass curtain wall, the sound insulation performance of this project is determined to be level III.

The panel of the glass curtain wall is designed with shock absorption and energy dissipation to prevent sound transmission from affecting the stock price.

⑥ Corrosion resistance performance

Set up rubber sheets at the contact area between two different metal materials to prevent electrochemical corrosion.

The surface of aluminum profiles is treated with fluorocarbon spraying or anodizing, while the surface of steel is treated with hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion coating.

⑦ Seismic performance

The seismic fortification intensity of this project is 7 degrees.

The panel and skeleton of the granite curtain wall are connected by bolts, which have good anti slip and anti detachment functions.
