Shibo Group participates in the 2024 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Annual Meeting to join the international architectural event

In the wave of innovation in the global construction industry, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Annual Meeting is undoubtedly a highly anticipated event. The AIA International Annual Meeting will be held for the first time in Hong Kong from October 23rd to 27th, 2024, attracting architectural experts and renowned companies from around the world to gather together. This year, the AIA International Department Annual Meeting will be held in Hong Kong, China from October 23-27, 2024. Shibo Group sent a delegation consisting of CEO Lu Chong, Foreign Trade Manager Qian Yucheng, East China Marketing Director Chang Nana, South China Sales Director Jiang Yuhua, and Li Shuai to attend a seminar held on the top floor of The Henderson Building, a landmark building in Hong Kong.

   

   The refined steel profiles of Shibo Group received widespread attention during the exhibition, successfully attracting numerous international architects' consultations and promoting refined steel products to the global high-end construction industry.




Shibo team attends AIA grand banquet


     On the evening of October 25th, the Shibo Group team was invited to attend the AIA dinner held at the Hong Kong Hotel. At the pre dinner party, Qian Yucheng, the foreign trade manager, interacted warmly with Jiang Yuhua, the sales director of the South China region, Li Shuai, and several AIA members, establishing a good communication channel and promoting deep cooperation in the field of refined steel in the future.


During the dinner, Shibo Group was awarded the honorary title of "2024 AIA Gold Sponsor" for its support and industry contributions to AIA. Director Jiang Yuhua presented the award on behalf of the group. The professional spirit and innovative products of Shibo Group were highly praised by the attending guests.




Speech by Mr. Lu, CEO of Shibo Group

     On the afternoon of October 26th, Mr. Lu, CEO of Shibo Group, delivered a remarkable keynote speech in the reception room on the top floor of The Henderson Building, with the theme of "Innovative Refined Steel, Reshaping the Future of Architecture", introducing Shibo Group's product features and technological strength to AIA members.

  

     Mr. Lu explained in detail how refined steel can surpass traditional architectural expression in building curtain wall design from the aspects of large span, height, permeability, and high plasticity. He particularly emphasized the excellent compressive strength and flexibility of refined steel profiles in complex building structures, demonstrating how this material combines practicality and aesthetics while meeting the needs of modern architectural design.


In his speech, Mr. Lu also shared several representative project cases to showcase the unique advantages of refined steel to international architects through concrete examples. He highlighted the technological breakthrough achieved by Shibo Group in the World Lounge project, which successfully created an open and dynamic viewing space through the ultra large span and transparent design of refined steel profiles. Another case is the Zhangjiang Science Hall project in Shanghai, where Mr. Lu demonstrated how Shibo Group overcame the challenge of polygonal symmetry processing and fully utilized the plasticity of refined steel in the height and curves of buildings.

     Mr. Lu's speech received enthusiastic responses and positive questions from AIA members on site. Everyone expressed a deeper understanding of the innovative application of refined steel products and looked forward to cooperating with Shibo Group in future projects. Through this speech, Shibo Group has further strengthened its technical exchanges with the international architect community and elevated the brand value of refined steel to a broader global market.
